		<description>As an Australian, with knowledge of plants, I can say I have never heard of it being used as tea.

It is infused as a gargle however for sore throat, and the leaves are steam distilled into an oil with very potent antimicrobial and anti fungal properties. Great for zits too!

I understand that the oil itself is considered cancer causing when swallowed, and for that reason, as there is a lot of oil in the leaves, I would decline a cuppa&#039; tea tree tea.  Stick to Camellia Sinensis for drinking.</description>
